This large-scale event aims to introduce visitors to the municipalities, their way of life, and, above all, wine as an economic driver and cultural treasure of the region. The festivities begin with performances by several local dance groups showcasing our folklore, followed by the traditional opening address, delivered over the years by prominent figures from sports, culture, media, and society, who become ambassadors for Rioja Alavesa. The grape treading and tasting of the first must then lead into a tour of the host town, tasting wines categorized by village and winery. As is customary, the wine is tasted in a fine crystal glass screen-printed with the Rioja Alavesa logo, a unique souvenir of the day.
