En Primeurs Week 2026
Event Summary
En Primeurs Week is an annual Bordeaux event where wine professionals, critics, and buyers taste the newest vintage directly from the barrel before bottling. Known as the wine futures system, it allows investors to purchase wines 18–36 months before delivery, often at more favorable prices.
Held each spring, such as April 20–23, 2026, the tastings are organized primarily by the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux (UGCB) and take place across Bordeaux and at leading chateaux. Thousands of industry experts evaluate hundreds of wines, and their assessments help influence the release prices set by producers soon after.
Dating back to the 18th century, En Primeurs remains one of the most important events in the Bordeaux wine trade, providing early access to highly sought-after Grand Cru Classe wines.
